Stomach cancer: a modern state of the issue, risk factors, early diagnosis

Despite the fact that over the past 50 years there has been a tendency to decrease morbidity and mortality from a stomach cancer, especially in industrialized countries, in the structure of ontological pathology it takes the 4th place on the prevalence and the 2nd ones – on the mortality. Stomach cancer is the most aggressive of the course and prognosis of a human malignant epithelial tumor. The article highlights the main epidemiological aspects of morbidity, the current state of the problem from the standpoint of a medical and social significance, classificational characteristics, individual features of molecular pathogenesis, risk factors, methods of diagnosis and the treatment of the disease areas.
